matching tracksuits

A post and two comments have suddenly disappeared. How is that possible? The only thing I can think of is that there was some kind of issue at my web host and they had to reload from an earlier tape backup that was made before I wrote the post in question.

The fact that an old version of the post exists in draft form seems to support this notion.

Curious…

Worst is, it broke my posting streak. Well, I shan’t be defeated. I’m simply going to repost it and backdate it.

Still, it gives me yet another reason to switch hosts…

Matching Tracksuits has looked the same since its inception. Part of it was laziness, and part of it was apathy.

I recently decided it was time for a change. A total change. Gone are the tracksuits, gone is the creeping minimalism, and gone is the software powering it all.

I’ve switched the site to WordPress, primarily because I just don’t want to take the time to re-design MTS, and partly because I like some aspects of WP better than TextPattern. I especially like the ease with which one can change a site’s entire look. Sure, maybe it’s not original, but I’m too lazy to worry about that anymore.

To those who might have linked to a post, that link no longer works now. I’m simply not going to import everything here. Maybe later, but not now. Sorry. (Devastating, I’m sure.)

So — out with the old, which can still be found here. And in with the new. Soon, the very new…
